This review took place in July of this year in Kauai, HI on our honeymoon. It's a bit late, but better late than never.

This cigar is the 1st of 3 gifted by Silverfox from this box.

The Opus was for after I got married, the GOF for after I graduated, and the Cohiba for after our first kid.
I want to thank you again Shawn for being a great friend to me.
This review is taken from our journal that we kept during our honeymoon.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the first cigar I've had on the honeymoon, an Opus X Belicoso gifted by Shawn.

The setting of this cigar was by the pool on a dark night, looking above at the stars. The glow of the pool to the front, and the glow of our home away from home behind.
The darkness around us obscured my vision. The wrapper felt smooth to the touch, and I was fortunate enough not to remove a finger during the cut.
Prelight draw was firm and tasted of wood with a slight sweetness and spice.
Typical toast and light with an abrupt blast of pepper that slowly mellowed into a more sweet and hot spice flavor with woodsy undertones. Possibly cinnamon as well.

The cigar progressed on and I would typically divide a cigar into thirds, but it was a very 1 dimensional smoke that progressively increased in spice, and reduced in sweetness. About the halfway point, I lost all taste of the woodsy and sweet cinnamon undertones as they were replaced with spice.

The cigar continued on as we laid there and gazed upon the stars. The beauty of my new wife, only compounded by the universe around us. We talked about the joys of the previous days and the relief that they were over. We talked of the beginning of our new life together without a clue as to how things would unfold for us.
At that moment it didn't matter and it was a moment I will never forget.

Sadly we left there months ago, but you're right... we didn't want to leave.
That was until we stayed a night in Oahu..... then we were ready to go home. That place was stressful.
