The first box purchase that I spent real money on was the ERdM robusto maduros. I believe they were like $80, and worth every penny.
still there!

I think Honduran tobacco can be really damn good if you know what to buy and what to ignore. The ERdMs kinda remind me of a Fuente Don Carlos or something similar.
It's been so long since I browsed JR's.

Camacho Triple maduro
Camacho SLR
RP Old World Reserve
601 maduro (blue?)
Fuente Chateau Fuente
I'm sure some of you like the padrons and the JJ maduro (I have one in the humi), but I haven't had a chance to try those yet. What are your favs? Sorry if this is a repeat thread.
This is the end all be all of maduro cigar IMO. The OWR is damn good too, but the 601 is just about perfection.

Didn't care for the 601s OTT, but have several that
have been sleeping for about a year. Maybe I'll try
one for the Eagles game tomorrow.

I have 2 '08 V maddies, but haven't tried them yet.
I loved the V naturals, so the maddies are bound to
be extra special, IMHO.

I seem to have this love/hate relationship with maduros. I initally love them, but soon, I start to dislike them. Currently, I'm smoking a CAO Sopranos which is very good. I think maybe it's the sometimes over the top sweetness and spice that turn me off. Too much of a good thing maybe? Maduros to me are like the chocolate covered cherries of cigars. Good once in awhile, but not for everyday.
