I believe I got this stick from a S-CHIP sampler on cbid.

Humidor time: 1 month

Prelight: Well constructed, with minimal veins. Prelight draw was easy, tasting of coffee.

Burn: The burn was a bit uneven, requiring a touchup. Ash was solid and held on well. Draw was easy, but not loose. The burn time was about an hour.

Flavor: Supposedly, the Patriarch series is blended after Nick Perdomo Sr.'s favorite cigars. Well, apparently Nick Sr. liked his smokes pretty mild. I found the flavors decent (coffee, cocoa, and a hint of spice), but very muted. Towards the end of the first third, there were a couple of puffs with even less flavor. Heading into the final third, I got an unpleasant acrid flavor that never entirely went away.

Summary: I'm willing to accept that I may have gotten an off stick, so I'll probably give these another try. If the flavors were a bit stronger, this would've been a very tasty stick.

I've only had the robusto, but it was good. Pretty solidly medium bodied to me. Not at all complex, but good consistent flavor.

I tried my first one about a month ago. I'm not generally an lonsdale guy but this was actually a pretty good smoke. Plan to pick up a few from my local B&M soon.
