I was sitting thinking about this, does the actual RH ( not the fluctuation of RH but the humidity itself ) rise, sink or stay in the middle in a humidor?
If that confused ya, where does the humidity sit in a humidor? Towards the bottom or the top?

Humidity rises. I keep humidification in the bottom-center of my humidors.

I thought humidity was dense but rises about a certain temp.

Water vapor is a lighter gas than air at the same temperature, so humid air will tend to rise by natural convection.

If the humi is tight there will be no stratification unless it's tall in proportions. If you have fans in there they will distribute the moisture evenly. If the humi is small the moisture will wander around randomly (diffuse) until it leaves the humi.

For fans they rent really necessary right? Or are they good to have?
The oust fan cant be had anymore, and nothing replaced it in terms of size correcT?

If you get into Vinotemp sized humis, computer fans work well.
