Thanks. My Lab is 11 and her walking style is head kinda swaying, tail wagging, paying little or no attention to distractions. She loves her walks.

I love German Shepards :-) I doubt we'll have another K-9 program since the last K-9 officer basically put it down the tubes. If we ever do I'm first on the list for it.

It was a good read regardless. And through the snopes article I found out about the foster pet program for members of the military. I'm going to look into signing up as a foster home. :-)

Since I actually get the Washington Post delivered - I have been a fan of Gene Weingarten for years. I don't always have time to read every paper and don't ever recall seeing that before - but it is now my favorite article from him.

Great article. My lab Dexter is 6 and has already started graying. Still acts like a puppy on walks though. :-)
