Always nice coming home to stogies on the doorstep!

From a recent Atlantic Cigar blow-out sale: My first ever Gurkhas... a 40 box of Black Dragon Robustos. Paul at Atlantic hit another home run with this recommendation. The packaging is outstanding (I've heard some people critical of their elaborate presentation but it's a nice keepsake that I will use to store lighters and cutters)

I snapped the pics and lit one up immediately. I was leery that they might be dry (and hence the great price) they did not disappoint. Gorgeous construction, great draw, beautiful white ash and perfect burn. And tasty as Hell from the first puff to a nub. Great leather and smoky wood taste. Rich yet smooth. A quick smoke with only one downside; It was over too soon. (I like longer smokes) But this is a going to be a great "go to" stogie when I only have say 30 minutes to puff.

At less than $180 for the box of 40 I would have to say they were the deal of the summer!

(Not shown: The heavy outer box that housed the orange velvet-lined humidor was in heavy white outer sleeve to keep the outer box pristine. BTW: The black outer box has a fold-down front, it's not ripped or seperated)

The pictures really don't do the packaging justice... You's swear the humidor is leather (it weighs a ton) and the logo is beautifully emblazoned. Each stogie is cello-wrapped, with a seal (not shown) The band is huge and besides the cedar wrap there is a black silk ribbon on the foot.

Burned one of these at an all night bowling event, Cant say I focused to much on it but from what I remember it was a good bowling smoke. ^^

Glad to see someone enjoying a cigar (Gurhka) that is often much maligned.

I haven't had this particular Gurhka, but have had quite a few that I enjoyed. Your review will have me on the look-out for these...

...when the time and price is right.

Peace of the Lord be with you.
