I had ET, as well. 8-bit hell. That one takes the cake for bad games.

I'd have to throw in the Atari 2600 version of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Also had E.T. And it should be #1 on any worst game list! The sound it made E.T. walking still cracks me up.
I remember playing Night Trap when it came out, a friend had the first Sega CD when it attached to the bottom of the sega. The two ways to play was using the cheats and know when to go to what room. The other was to play it a billion times and write down where you had to be at every second in the game. Of course if you picked the second option you would have to start all the way over from the start everytime you failed to save enough people. This is how every game went of Night Trap "wow this looks so cool" you go looking around the house and save the first person and halfway through the game everyone dies and you toss the controller on the ground and yell "there's no way I'm doing all that $h!t again!".

Yeah the cheats for Night Trap were posted in a game magazine after the game came out. No Internet in those days.

I remember that turd, and how much time I spent trying to figure out what the heck I was supposed to be doing when I played it. Brutal.

They forgot to include both Jaws and Friday the 13th for the NES system.

I had ET and the Chuck Norris game. Although it was fun to play while flying, Top Gun was a pain in the ass when you were trying to land.

:-)Never could figure out how to land. I think I pulled it off a few times, but didn't know what I was doing.

Was Top Gun the one with mid-air fueling too? Seems like that was my downfall.

One comes to mind, Defender of the crown for NES. I had no clue how to play that game.

It was Top Gun. Trying to get that stupid ass fuel pump in the cross was so frustrating.
