Why am I not surprised? :-) He did leave very quickly.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The University of Memphis is responding to an NCAA notice of allegations accusing the men's basketball program of major violations during the 2007-08 season under John Calipari, a newspaper reported Wednesday..............................

This is such a shocker. After all he did such a good job supervising the program at UMass when Marcus Camby was there. Could there be a pattern emerging here?

If you read the NCAA letter, it is clear that the woman's gold coach Jenny Bruun is in deep doo doo for repeatedly breaking NCAA rules and lying about it.

From a basketball standpoint, one person traveled with the team who shouldn't have, it looks like a brother or father from the blacked out letter.

One of the students on the BB team had a friend take the SAT for him. This one as this was prior to the admission so it is unclear if the university is involved.

There was one impermissible call to a BB recruit from David Bronczek, CEO of Fedex. It is unclear if the University was involved with this one as well.

So as far as I can see, there is not much they are going after the BB team for, one person traveled with the team who shouldn't have, the problem is mainly woman's golf.

Read the NCAA letter to Memphis and tell me what you think he has been accused of.

Damn, I hope he doesnt get in too much chit for this. I ship him cannoli and cookies every year for Christmas for one of my customers.

He was a big fan of my shop when he was at UMASS.
