My sister just got back from England and she brought me back a single malt sampler from when she was in Scotland a few days.

Are any of these decent single malts? I don't have much experience with scotch and I have only tried blended before.

Auchentoshan 12yr.
BenRiach
Aberfeldy 12yr.
Glen Deveron 10yr.
Glenlivet 12yr.
Tobermory 10yr.

Glenlivet is one of my favorites. Not really familiar with the rest.

I've also had the Glenlivet and haven't tried the others. I doubt you'll be disappointed though. Let us know.

The Auchentoshan 12yr. is an excellent budget scotch.

Very cool of your sister. Let us know what you think about them.
If you like them then they are decent.
:-)
Enjoy

They all should be good....you have quite a selection of flavor profiles, from lowland to speyside to islay...not familiar with the tobermory or glen deveron...the aberfeldy is the base of dewar's

I really like the Glenlivet quite a bit - the rest I haven't tried yet.
I have found that I love all of the Islay Single malts... The smoky malt taste of them suits my palate perfectly. My of my favorites (which isn't sold in Michigan since May) is Dalmore Cigar Malt - the perfect taste with almost any good cigar! I'm searching in nearby states to see if they stock the Cigar Malt... it would be worth a road trip to pick up a few bottles!
:-)
That is a very nice sampler! I only wish I had a sister like yours!!!

Anything with a "Glen" in it is superior Scotch. However, as with ceegars, taste is taste.
