ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGanese…..this is the cry I continually let out since this was the last cigar I had had since my 36th birthday gift of medical issues late February prevented me from having another for quite some time.
That fateful day was a beautifully sunny Southern Californian Friday…February 20th at 4:35pm, mere days before I found out I was severely anemic and had to spend a couple nights in the hospital.
Outside temperature was probably 70 degrees as I sat on my balcony contemplating life and what kind of world we’re going to be leaving our children with as it seems we’re currently bailing out everything and will one day be responsible for it.
But I digress.
ML3 stands for “Maduro Ligero times three” so I prepared myself for the onslaught by sitting down & buckling up.
This cigar had a nice dark, veiny brown wrapper to it, slightly toothy, with a nice cap. Prelight didn’t taste like much but I paid no mind and dove on in.

This cigar tasted, well, like a cigar. In fact, it tasted like the very first cigar I ever had. And I don’t remember that particular cigar so I’ll try to expand on this.

So, of the entire list of what a cigar could taste like, I’d say it tasted “cigar-like”. As in, an overwhelming taste of “cigar”. You may laugh but if you’ll bare with me through this, I’m just trying to convey to you that this sucker just seemed like a stereotypical cigar. Nothing special, nothing that wowed me and nothing that stood out, other than it tasted like what an average cigar is supposed to taste like. I think. You know, since taste is relative.

The initial taste was a strange spiciness which I’m not sure I liked. I’m not sure I didn’t. It was just a little strange, kind of strong. The spiciness did mellow out as the cigar smoked and the taste changed and turned halfway decent.
The cigar let off a nice aroma which I stole from the cigar in between light puffs of wind that day.

Overall, I’d say this one was okay. Perhaps I’ll try another one to see if I get that same “cigar-like” taste that didn’t exactly appeal to me at first. I’m glad the cigar mellowed out a bit but it didn’t enough for me to say I really liked it. I wish I could offer up a little more info but it was pretty one-dimensional and so I’d probably give this one a C rating.
ArguessIouttatryanotheroneoneday to see if I just had a not-so-great stick because I've seen some pretty nice reviews on this sucker.
Thank you MithShrike for supplying this cigar!

Thanks for the kind words guys. Mike, I'm doing much better, thanks! Bob, man, I've been jammed at work and traveling a lot too. Just got back from a family wedding out in AZ. I hope you're all doing well guys.

Thanks! No, you know, nothing, not even a finger buzzed. No, I really didn't feel overpowered at all, although Ritchie (rizzle) may be right on about the power of the ligero. Still, no weird light head or upset stomach or anything.
