I just posted this in another thread as a side note and thought I would post on its own.
I had previously posted this in "that other forum".
It is a great poem and it should be shared.
I think most will agree with what it says.
It hangs on a wall in my office in my home.
It is in Spanish and I am translating it.

Life is like this:
At 7, dad is a genius

At 10, seems to me dad is wrong on occasions

At 14, dad doesn't know anything

At 21, dad is behind the times, has old thinking

At 30, this is a tough/delicate situation, let me consult with dad

At 40, had my dad had my experiences in life to date, at my age, my dad would have been a self made millionaire.

At 50, dad was a genius. Too bad I realized that too late.

Hey,
I am so blessed to be turning 50, realize he is a genius and not have to say it is too late. He is still around.:-)

Wish that Dad had lived until I was 40 so that I could give him some credit.

Funny thing is that I was 38 when he died, now 57 and there are still things that I would like his input on.

I hear you, brother. Lost my dad when I was thirty.

Grateful for the time we had... but it was nowhere near enough for me.
