Yes it's Springtime and time to turn some soil.
I have just mowed the meadow down and found my garden plot. I will be turning all kinds of good stuff into it and getting it ready for planting. It's 15' x 41'. I'm thinking rows 3' apart which will give me 12 rows with some extra room to play with. I have a couple of tobacco plants to put somewhere but I think I will keep them in a shadier place.
Anyone else gardening?

I know there are more gardeners here. We had a social club going at CS.
Here is what I'm starting with.

I'm starting our first garden in the next few days. Is it necessary to create raised rows to plant the vegetable seeds or starts or can you do it on level ground? Is t just a matter of presonal preference?

It somewhat depends on how much room you have. Rows help with weed control and walking around. If you don't have much room then raised boxes are great.
