.....and let's be grateful.
However, this was funny stuff in its day.
Dad and I were just smoking a cigar and reliving this show that we always saw together as a family.
Lots of great stars that were a part of this show but his is a clip that I remembered that to this day cracks me up.

Rowan and Martin's Laugh In was a family favorite.
I think I will make "Tip toe through the Tulips" my ringtone.

Wow... I have probably not seen that since it first aired. Classic "Laugh-In" insanity!
:-)
Just occurred to me... doesn't Tiny Tim look like he could be Marilyn Manson's father? Or, perhaps his mother?
:-)

Used to watch that when I was a kid too.

Great memories of watching this live with my parents as a little kid in Detroit.

The truly funny thing is that youngsters viewing this will not know Tiny Tim was absolutely dead serious on here and that song was an actual hit for him.

Amazing how many great stars of the time were on that show.
Here is a clip with John Wayne shortly after the beginning.
He was on there quite a few times.
The many doors at the end of the show and the go-go scenes were my favorites.

How about Goldie Hawn? I had the hots for her long before she gave birth to Kate Hudson. That could have been our child.

One of the great shows I remember watching with the family. So goofy most went over everyone's heads at the time.

I used to love watching Johnny Carson's expressions when he was on the Tonight Show.

That's precisely what I was thinking when I looked at the first clip!
Didn't he get married on Carson's show?

Sure did.
We are showing our age.
On 17 December 1969, he married Victoria Mae Budinger ("Miss Vicki") on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson
I think they were married for less than 10 years.

I've seen clips of Laugh-In over the years and remember my parents' (especially my father's) recollections of it. A show that's still ahead of its time, even today.

They were married for 8 years and divorced, although throughout the marriahe they mostly lived apart. They had one daughter "Tulip Victoria"
Just read all that...I wasn't born yet

I remember that when it first aired.
Dick and Dan were great, and had a phenomenal supporting cast. I think the Laugh-In, as well as the Smothers Brothers, deserve a lot more recognition than they've ever received for being representative of the times.
Good memories.
