General Discussion>Tobacco plants!

Since I will be needing vegietation for landscaping in the back yard I will also be looking at growing some baccy plants. It has been mentioned that tobacco plants may do well here in Las Vegas, so I need to know which species will fit the bill. Looking for an exotic feel with nice flowers. I am almost at the point where I need to order and plant! Who, What, Why, Where and When!

PM me your address and I will send you out a selection of tobacco seeds. All of the seeds are Nicotiana tobacum with pink flowers. The strains include, Havana, Perique, Maya Mopan (San Andres).

If you can grow tomatoes you can grow tobacco.

You are correct, now would be the time to get some seeds started, once the chance of a freeze has passed then would be the time to get them in the ground.

Good luck, and happy gardening.
