If my wife and I can only see one more movie this year, Watchmen will be it! The comics rock, hopefully the movie will too.

never read them or anything, but it looks awesome, and I've liked all of Miller's other movies that I've seen so far

This is one movie that is supposedly going to follow the comics rather closely, after reading the comics, it really blows all the others away. I only hope the movie does this one justice.

I'm not very familiar with the graphic novel so I'm going to wait to hear the buzz about this one before I decide to see it. It looks like it can be good.

Who's the guy that looks like Batman?
I watched the trailer and thought "that looks just like Dark Knight" (the way it was shot). Then it said by the director of 300, and I realized how similar the two director's styles are. Huh.

Nite Owl II.

I love Rorschach's mask.

From what I have read, they are sticking with the comics and keeping the setting in the 1980s. From the looks of it, they nailed the Comedian, he and Rorschach are my two favorite characters. Now y'all got me itching to see this movie even more.

I thought the graphic novel (and actually everything Alan Moore has done) was wildly overrated. However the movie does look awesome and I'm really looking forward to it. Considering how closely the movie supposedly follows the source, I'm not sure why I'd be into one and not the other...

Here's a really cool add-on clip.

That's how I feel, I've been told it's awesome and really a good underground/cult classic that got blown up.

It looks badass.

I read the comics back in the 80s. They (and a couple hundred other comic books) are still in plastic in my parents basement if my sisters didn't steal them.

I think the movie is going to be totally awesome, but I don't think it'll have the same acceptance that X-Men or 300 had. And I don't want to compare those movies w/ Watchmen. I'm just saying that I think it'll get some good reviews, but it won't be widely accepted.

But I don't care. I want to watch it for myself. Bad! Ass!

Cheers,
Michael

I can agree that the comics were a bit overrated, moreso I can understand the brain hemorrhage from reading it, it took me a while to read and reread for a better comprehension of what was going on. The comic was a bit labor intensive to get through, but I love Alan Moore's vision of superheros and that is what hooked me through the whole story.
