A true pyramid. I have smoked many-a-partagas-black and enjoyed them all. This was special to me in the fact that they just got them in at the tinderbox and usually only carry the robustos and gigantes. As soon as i saw it i knew i had to give it a go.
Partagas cigars (i mainly smoke the black) have always been super consistent. The cool thing about this cigar is the shape. the cigar looks very nifty and looks to be a fun smoke.
Prelit draw was a little bitter but so are many cigars. That would not make me count this one out. And as suspected... after about 5 minutes we were nice and smooth. The taste is exceptional on this cigar and very cedary, leathery, and earthy.
The sheen on the wrapper is magnificent and oily. You actually see the wrapper start to dry up just around the ash as it crawls further towards the head of the cigar.

The 60 RG took a very long time to burn down. I would say that the quality of the partagas black is exceptional and very nice to look at as far as construction goes.

The cigar's "burn speed" (as i will call it) sped up quite rapidly as the RG decreased (physics). The flavor really started to turn out and the draw got much more open (which this nerd tends to like).

The ending was spicey and hot. This is exactly what i come to expect from the Partagas black. The nub becomes soft and warm. The oil from the wrapper rubs off onto the tip of your fingers and it is as intimate experience as you can possibly have and want.
Thanks for reading!
