So, Ever since a brief 2 week bible study class when I was 13, I have wanted to better learn how to play the harmonica, and more then just "Jesus Loves Me this I know... " :-)

I was at the local flea market about a week ago and found 2 brand new Honher Blues Harp MS Harmonicas, Keys of C and G. They usually sell for $45.00 a piece but after a bit of haggling I got both for $15.00

Notice the real word construction... :-)

So after googling a bunch of stuff I am now a week or so into the Youtube Series - Learn the Harmonica in 30 days... and I think I am coming along at a fair and honest pace...

So any other Players of the Jaw Harp? perhaps you know of a good tutorial or lesson or teacher to recommend? Perhaps you just know a harmonica player who's music you like...

So far I have looked into the works of Sonny Terry, Muddy Waters, and Howlin' Wolf.... Any other suggestions?

Perhaps you know some good songs or a place for tableture?

Any and all suggestions welcomed.... :-)

Some of favorite harp players are Charlie Mussclewhite, Junior Wells and James Cotton. :-)

Owned one when I was about 12 -- I never got lessons or encouragement and never really got anywhere with it...might have something to do with the fact that I am missing the 'music talent gene', so had to be a drummer...lol

Still.....30+ years after first hearing him, I still sort of long to be able to play every time I listen to John Mayall

I saw John Mayall last summer and he can still rock the house. It's amazing how many instruments he plays.
