Or anyone that knows about them.

I have now had two or three experiences where although there is ample beans in the container, the grinder does not seem to grind at all.

I have tried moving the beans around with my hand and ultimately had to shake the heck out of the grinder while it was still on and grinding.

Anyone experience this?
Should I be concerned about a warranty problem or is this normal for the wear?

I'm sure you're not putting your hand in the hopper while the grinder is on.

If the motor is running and nothing is grinding, there's a good chance your burrs are not turning and may be jammed, which isn't good.

Before I tried it again, I would empty the hopper, take it off, and open up the grinder and check that nothing is jamming the burrs.

Probably a 30 minute job but way better than burning out the motor

It is working fine again.
Took a bit this morning.
Did make a funky sound like something was caught.

Seattle coffee gear tells me if beans are oily and dark, as you very well know I use, this is more likely to occur. Will have to clean it a bit more often in all likelihood.
