The Teams have all completed 81 games.
At the halfway point who gets your vote for the leagues top honors?
My Picks
MVP
AL : Adrian Gonzalez
NL: Jose Reyes
( you have no idea how hard it was for me to type that)
Cy Young
AL: Justin Verlander
NL: Roy Halliday
ROY
AL: Michael Pineda
NL: Dillon Gee
The year's not over, and some of these guys have some stiff competition.
What are your picks?

I heard the same pics on the Fan today.
You are correct.
Do the Mets keep Reyes, or where does he go.

It would be a mistake to keep him, he's gone at the end of the season anyway and they would get nothing for him then.

Unfortunately, I think the days when a pitcher wins the MVP are over.
The voters seem to feel that the MVP is a position players award.
A decision I don't agree with.

As sad it makes me and since he has claimed that he won't talk until the season is over...his days as a beloved NY Met are numbered. I hate to see him go. I think SF is a great candidate for his services.
As for my picks...same as Doms...SPOT ON!!
MVP
AL : Adrian Gonzalez
NL: Jose Reyes
Cy Young
AL: Justin Verlander

ROY
AL: Michael Pineda (J.P. Arencibia a close second)
NL: Dillon Gee

I agree Pops
:-) Even when he had a rough outing against the Mets the other day he only allowed 1 run on 7 hits.
My runner up for MVP is Asdrubal Cabrera. He is the reason Cleveland is playing so well right now and is having an outstanding season.
NL MVP: Jose Reyes
Guy is putting up big numbers this year and is just smacking the ball around.
NL Cy Young: Roy Halliday

MVP typically goes to the everyday player.
I doubt if a pitcher will ever win MVP again.
Its a long year, look how many injuries we`ve had so far,
who knows whos hurt thru the year around the leagues.
Most of these guys play hard, and get hurt sliding and wall banging,
hey isnt that a drink, the Harvey Wall Banger.

I agree with your disagreement, Dom.
