I don't usually use stains as I like to feature the natural beauty of the wood itself.... but, when a customer asks me for a humidor that is dark blue.... what can a fellow do.... I searched the world over and there isn't any "blue" wood... unless you count Blue Mahoe which is a protected wood from Jamaica.... and really not all that blue....
He wanted clean lines and was specific on the interior.
Well, here's what I came up with. She's on her way to Hobart, Austrailia.... even the folks in Austrailia call Hobart the land "down under".... as it's on the south end of the Southern Island of Tasmania....
Yay! Another pin on my world map! Six continents..... just waiting for Antarctica to thaw out....

Thanks all. Yes, I've done a few in purpleheart. As a matter of fact... I have a real nice piece in the shop.... just waiting to be a humidor.
