Well, just got the word that we have been taken off the deployment schedule.
Guess its time to start looking for a new assignment since I extended here for the deployment. Mixed feelings about leaving Hawaii- good and bad. Will miss some things but ready to leave because of other things. Guess its just time for a change.

Oahu's a great place to visit, and a great place to live, but you can get a bit island-happy and feel out of touch. Plus, who wants chicken and pineapple pizza alla time?
:-)
Good luck, wherever you end up.

Thanks everyone. Still have a bunch of options. Might get moved over to another unit here so I don't look "stagnant". Either way- that's the Army life, always an adventure!!

Got the word - I'm going to get to stay with my current Cavalry Unit. Had a little pressure from the Commander (who just left) and the Command Sergeant Major to stay. Line officers and CSMs have more pull than the Chaplain Corp
:-)
I'm happy. I love this unit and having been here three years now and deployed with them twice which makes my jib easier since it is all about relationships and my reputation with the Soldiers
Plus another year of Scuba sun and beach.
