I understand HBO is going to be airng a documentary about the process of brining fallen soldiers home from Iraq. The series was based on a letter written by a Marine...it is very moving, so I thought I would post a link for anyone who wanted to read it.

Thanks for sharing Tom.
:-) I am glad I did not read this at work, I hate when my "allergies" act up there.

Pretty incredible piece.
It looks like the film is already out though:
IMDb shows the release date as Feb 21, 2009.
Here's the schedule on HBO's site for when it will be showing again.

Tom, I was fortunate to see this HBO movie a month or so ago. Kevin Bacon plays an excellent lead in "Taking Chance", and there are moments in the movie that had me reaching for a tissue.
The movie is very well written and exceptionaly moving. I was never aware of the care or dignity that our troops display when bringing their fallen comades home to their families.
I'm glad you brought this topic up again, as everyone of us here should have an opportunity to view this film!

This was a fantastic movie, absolutely moving. I was fortunate to watch it alone and no one could see this grown man tear up.
