I LOVE it when I'm trying to cut at night and I don't want to risk cutting the cap off...or the tips of my fingers when I'm trying to guide my Palio over the cigar. :-)

I have both version of this cutter in stainless steel, and I find myself using both because as you said, the finger holes in the larger cutter are a little smaller. Both work very well.

It's kind of funny though. I also have a Xikar and a Palio and I find that I rotate through all my cutters and don't just stick with one. Go figure.
