Construction: Very good. Nice wrapper with a dark leather color, and a few small veins.
Prelight: noticeable spice on the lips, really nice taste
First Third: Leather and pepper flavors. Really tasty, good hit of spice
Draw: easy
Burn: a bit uneven, but not worth touching up
Ash/Smoke: solid, dropped after about an inch, salt and pepper color, lots of smoke
Second Third: more of the spice, mellows a bit and leather is gone
Final third: had to slow down b/c I was smoking the last bit a bit fast and got some harsh/ bitter flavors after the ash dropped, once it cooled I purged and waited a bit and finished down to the nub.
Strength: Medium/ Full
Flavor: Full
Overall Impression: l dont smoke many big ring gauge cigars, but am really glad I picked this one up it was the best cigar I have smoked all week.

I'm just finishing one now and it tastes and behaves much like the 88's I have.
For it's size the price of 9.65 really isn't so bad.If you like this kind of cigar that is.

Great review! Like you, I don't smoke many big cigars. But this is one that I do keep on hand, love them! Maybe not quite as spicy as the 88, but just as good, and stronger than the other large Illusiones.
