Accessory Discussion / Reviews>My recent experiences with poopay....

Not sure if anyone is interested, but figure I would throw it out there. PooPay has apparently caught on to the whole "gift" method of paying. If you pay with "gift" you will now be charged 3.5% extra, however, you can choose to charge yourself, or the person you are sending cash to.... Hopefully you choose yourself lol.

If you pay regularly, the fee is 2.9% + $0.30... So depending on your price, it could be better to go one way or the other, check before you order. :-)

Just making a friendly heads up to all the brothers out there. We all want to save money so, figure it's worth the mention.

was your gift payment from funds on a debit card or credit card? It said there is a fee for that. I think if you still have it tied to your bank account there are no fees for a gift.

Unsure. But my primary source is my bank account.

Sent a gift to my son this morning. Used my pp balance. No fee to either of us.

Here's the overview of their fee structure. Gifts are consider transfers of money and are free if paid using your pp balance or a direct link to a bank acct. However, a fee DOES apply if you gift money using a debit or credit card.

Kind of amazing what you can find if you actually read the terms. :-)

Also...This is a legitimate business providing a service. Should we use gift function for a purchase? I am guilty of it too.....Just a thought.:-)

I have also been charged fees for a gift -- in the case where the recipient was not able to receive a gift (too many gifts, etc.)...
