All Cigar Discussion>Where online do you guys buy cigars?
colinb913 05:03 PM 02-28-2010
Around town, I have one cigar shop, and it is a small one at that. Where online do you all recommend buying cigars? I am looking for good service, good shipping, and low prices of course. Sorry if this has been asked before..

Thanks,

Colin

Cigars International has always been a favorite of mine and their evil twin website cigarbid.com has garnered even more business from me.

Going out on the hunt is sometimes more fun that getting them and smoking them. I usually will drive an hour to check out new B&M just to check out there stock and shoot the breaze with some really good people.

I just bought quite a few sticks and samplers from cigar.com, they will be here monday! Can't wait.. :-)

I will be sure to check out cbid as well. Another quick question, cheaphumidors.com is a decent place to pick up a humidor, correct?

Cigars International (I buy 75% of my stuff from Joes Daily Deals) and Cigar.Com are two of my preferred places. I also like Corona Cigars out of Florida http://www.coronacigar.com/ I have not bought a lot from them but Holts http://www.holts.com/home.html is very good. There are just a ton of very good Cigar suppliers. JR, Taboo, and Party Place are all great too. Everybody has their favorites for one reason or another but you can't go wrong with any of those I listed just shop around them for the best price knowing they all offer excellent service.:-)

Cheaphumidors.com offers good prices and good service, many customers in the Asylum!

Cheaphumidors.com is fantastic. Great customer service, great product, great prices. If anything goes wrong, they will fix it. Period. Can't argue with that. Oh, and when you order a humi, just upgrade to a digital hygro when you order it, and pick up some beads. Wish I had done that, woulda saved myself a lot of hassle.

I just made my first purchase from http://www.texcigars.com/ and had a VERY positive experience.... I will be going back.... Added bonus, regular shipping takes 2 days to my place....

CI is the only place I've ordered from. I'm lucky enough to have a great local B&M and rarely need to look elsewhere.

I would have suggested buying a humidor from a company that specializes in humidors, rather than a seller who sells everything...but I hope it works out for you. :-)

I'v purchased from a ton of different sites, many that have been listed, as well as from nhcigar.com.

I don't purchase online anymore. I have a ton of choices in my town alone (3 places with quality selections each within 5 minutes of my house) as well as having a fantastic selection of shops within a half hour to an hour from me.

Most of the stores I frequent sell on-line as well. NH has a fairly low tobacco tax, and I get good deals on smokes. I like being able to see what I am buying as well.

I envy you. I do have a handful of shops locally but they all seem to have their flaws whether it be unfriendly staff, overpriced, poor humidor conditions, myself and others having witnessed beetle damage in the walk-in etc. One of my favorite shops is now over an hour away since I am no longer working near it. Before moving I had at least 4 shops that I absolutely enjoyed frequenting and I miss having a great shop to go to and get lost for a few hours even if it were to shoot the sh*t with the owner.
Online I will usually use CI, Famous, New Havana and on the rare occasion I will use Corona. I may have to check out some of the other suggestions next time I make a purchase.
