I bought a package of stuff from a guy and now have 2 La Palina cigars. These things look ancient and from what I can find may date to the 1930s. I certainly don't know what I have here. They are about 5 X 47 or so and tapered at each end. Any input??

Post a pic; also, did the guy you bought them from show you a pic of the box? That would help more.

I knew I should have posted a pic to begin with... but my camera stinks for taking close ups. This is the best I could do:
The front of the band says:
La Palina and underneath that is says The Quality Cigar. On one side and around to the back it says: Congress Cigar Co. On the other side it says: Makers.

No pic of the box. The stick does look box pressed though.

Can't tell much from that pic; looks handmade, what color was the cello?
La Palina were good cigars, well-regarded Clears. You'll enjoy smoking that.
Maybe Hollywood could weigh in; he has more experience with Clears than anyone else on the site, I believe.

They definitely look handmade. They are not in cello. I will try to figure out how to take a better picture.
