From what I've learned on the net, the Joya de Nicaragua celebracion series uses the same blend as filler and binder as their famous Antano 1970 series but with a Cuban seed Criollo wrapper. I got this cigar in a four toro Joya de Nicaragua sampler.

The wrapper has a latte color with a few veins and it is quite oily. The cigar has a strong barnyard smell and a good construction. The predraw is fine and I get a mild sweet flavor from it.

I taste some sweet coffee and after half an inch I also taste some sweet straw which has a mild musty feel to it. Some puffs later I taste wood and grass with the straw, the flavors aren't all that.

Halfway I get a bitter flavor and some citrus with the flavors I mentioned before. After two thirds I taste sweet cedar with a mild bitter feel. The citrus disappears. The cigar gets better for a short while but then it turns bitter and nasty.

The smoke time of this cigar is an hour and fifteen minutes. The draw is a bit on the loose side and the smoke is medium. The light gray ash is quite firm. I had to correct the burn a few times. This cigar is medium bodied and medium flavored.

Would I buy this cigar again? No, I like the Antano 1970 series, but this, not at all
