Let me begin by saying I've been a die hard PB-207 fan since getting one and have recommended it to everyone. Pete (replicant_argent) had a thread on some lighters that I hadn't seen before. Intrigued after laying eyes on one, and wanting a lighter a bit more nice and sleek compared to the robust PB-207, I decided to give it a shot.
It comes in a nice sturdy case. The first thing I noticed upon picking it up is that this lighter is not only beautiful, but sturdy. It had very good weight to it and didn't make me feel like I could break it by looking at it the wrong way like some lighters do. Flicking the top open with my thumb, I was pleased by the awesome "ping" sound, reminiscent of an S.T. Dupont or other high-end lighters. Then the best part, and major selling point for me, was the ability for this lighter to have both soft flame and torch. It worked great for lighting, and its more forgiving and less intense torch worked perfectly for touch ups. I will still use my PB-207, especially in outdoor situations or when I don't want to risk getting this pretty thing all scratched up... But the Ever Torch is a great addition to any cigar smoker's arsenal.
For the price, this lighter is hard to beat. I would have no problem recommending it to anyone.
PROS:
-Price
-Sturdy
-"Ping" Sound
:-)
-Soft Flame and Torch Capabilities
-Uses Flint
-Calmer Torch Makes Touch Ups Easier
-Sleek Design
-Limited Lifetime Warranty
CONS:
-Some Colors May Show Fingerprints (use microfiber cloth to clean)
-Won't want to use in situation where it could get scratched (hunting/fishing/yardwork... like a nice watch)

I did enjoy mine, until it stopped lighting. I refilled it, checked the flint, everything, it just stopped working. It sparks, but no flame. Anyone know the warrenty on these and who to contact regarding it?

Very odd, Did you possible save your warranty card? They have a pretty good process for warranty service there. If you can't find it, I will rescan it, or grab the process for you.
Do you hear gas escaping when you open it? Does it make a difference in the sound of the gas when you adjust the flame adjuster on the bottom of the lighter? I don't think they are very picky as far as fuel, but just for info, what are you using, and have you tried purging the lighter before filling?

If you could get me the warrenty card that would be great. I bought it from a fellow on CS, worked flawlessly until recently when this problem started. I use only triple refined fuel or better. There may be a gas leak, I really don't know. I did notice that when I turn the gas all the way up, it sounds like it's leaking out of the top, but when I dial it down a bit, that goes away. Regardless, I'd rather just send it to them than worry about trying to screw with it myself.

Since getting mine I haven't had the opportunity to use it as often as I'd like but so far I'm quite pleased with it. All the pro's listed above are great, my only exception is that it isn't as heavy in the hand as a Dupont. As to be expected with that big of a difference in price but it is quite lighter that I had imagined in weight.
All in all a fabulous lighter for the money though
:-)

hmm.. As long as the lid is open, the gas valve is "ON." the gas adjustment valve will adjust to close off fuel entirely in the minimum position, and max flame of course at the opposite point. If you can hear gas as soon as you open the lid... and you have sufficient spark, and it sounds like you do, it sounds like a purge problem. Do you hear the sound when the lid is closed? If that is the case, it certainly needs warranty service.

Nice lighter, thanks for the review. I may have to trade up from my Ronson Jet Lite. I was lighter shy after my expensive Colibri crapped out on me 3 days after I got it.
