Got an email stating they are losing their shirts and closing it down. Never used it anyway.

Those penny auction sites are a rip off. Am not heart broken to hear this.

Ditto that. But when there is no participation, some lucky ones can rack up some good deals.

Very leery 'bout that site. CBid seems to work for me, sadly. In trouble all the time with you know who?

I got the same email (not sure where they got my email address... :-)) but I deleted their email without reading it (as usual).

Did not know what it was all about until I read this thread and I will not miss them...

I would venture a guess that CI leaks info like no other. How else do I receive cigar sniper emails and Thompson cigar catalogs? (have never done business or registered with either)

If you ever buy from famous smoke shop or cigar monster, that's why you would get sniper emails, not sure about Thompson catalogs. I used to get some from them and I have never bought anything from them either.

Now, if cigarbid were to go belly up, I'd go into DT's.

Damn, when I got free bids, I got a Padron sampler for like $6 shipped.

I think ALL of those kind of "auction" sites should be shut down. Even if they aren't ghost bidding to make sure they're always making a profit you still basically are getting other people to pay for your items....it's basically a lotto presented as a auction.

I don't think so as I didn't get those mails and have done business with CI in the past.

If those auction sites were to close down where would I get my DPG Blues and blacks for $3.50, 5 Vegas Miami for $2, Opus X for $50, etc. etc.

Just kidding about the Opus...I would never do that.
