Wine, Beer, and Spirits>Scott W's Christmas brew reviews-Three Philosophers
Scottw 10:03 PM 11-27-2012
I did a holiday bre sampling two weeks back and thought I'd share some reviews. The first thread I posted was here: http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=59326

750ml bottle, 9.5. ABV

so I'm thinking how to tie this into Christmas and I think, three wise men, three philosophers, okay, ****it, lets drink it.

Poured nicely and had a deep woody color. I smelled some cherries, some brown sugar or caramel and some faint spices like nutmeg.
pgood mouth feel in this one but the finish fell a little short for me, for a quad Belgian, this is a little lighter than some I have had. I did however like the taste of dark fruit, brown sugar and caramel.

this one was 9.99 and I don't thnk it would kill you to give it a try. Three wise men, three philosophers, whatever. Merry christmas.

I've had this brew before... bought it by accident thinking it was something else...

Was pleasantly surprised... Definitely worth giving a day in court... :-)

Thanks for the review Scott...
