Just wanted to start off this topic. If it belongs in Thoughts and Prayers, feel free to move it.
Limbaugh brought a LOT of attention to cigars in the 1990s. Hard to say if the big boom of circa '95 would have happened without him. Marvin Shanken's pomposity sure wouldn't have put the trend over the top.

As someone who spent his first career in radio, AM radio, Rush will always be the legend who saved AM radio. I don't care what the content of the show is, he is to be respected for that and his amazing business sense.
When you really want to know what's going on around you and your community, tune in to your local AM station.

I've never listened to one of his shows (don't know why though). I guess I always listen to Howard Stern. Maybe I'll tune in to one of Rush's shows if he is still doing them. Hope he pulls thru though!

Seeing someone who is on their last legs is tough now matter what you think of his views.
I read on some other forums people saying "karma" and like, but that is more a reflection on the person saying it than on the person with cancer. It was very touching and emotional when he received that medal last night.
He's the biggest name in conservative thought since William F Buckley and has a way of breaking down ideas that the regular person can understand. Buckley kept it intellectual all the time.
I use to listen to him more like 20+ years ago, but when he is a guest on TV, he is on point if you share conservative views.
I hope there is light of hope for him and anyone else in his predicament.
