I store my pipe tobacco in an Otterbox, I have 10 or 12 different blends stuffed in it and they seem to have dried out a bit.
How to rehydrate?
Have I wasted some decent tobaccos, destroyed them past their proper and unique flavor? When storing my cheap syrupy junk next to my dunhills and Frog Mortons, have I really just commited pipe guy sins?

Several years ago, I used the apple wedge method mentioned on the interwebs. My tobacco got moldy. Don't do that one. The damp sponge will work over time. I have laid out the tobacco from the pouch/tin and given it 1 or 2 quick distilled water spritzes from a fine mist spray bottle. Then I put it back in the pouch/tin and shake it up. In a couple days, everything was good. You reminded me that I have a 4oz bag of some good stuff that is bone-dry. I'll try my spritz method tonight.
