This ruined my day. :-) Best wishes to Patty and all the C&D folks. Craig was one of the good guys. His importance to pipe tobacco production in America cannot be understated. With he and Bob Runowski gone, the world is a sadder place.

The world lost one of the great ones today. Terrible news. :-)

I love C&D. R.I.P. brother. A sad loss to pipe smokers.

RIP Mr Tarler. My prayers are with his family and loved ones. One of the first "big names" I associated with pipe tobacco, sad to see him go.

R.I.P. Mr. Tarler. One of the "giants" in the community has left us.

Just saw this as I am looking to get back into pipe smoking. I have only ever ordered from C&D and once toured the shop and was allowed to make a custom blend. Super super nice folks. This news sucks. RIP, Craig.
