Is that the one in a glass tube that's infused with Louis the XIV cognac and dipped in gold or some sh*t?

For the record, I have smoked Gurkhas, and I have smoked Rocky Patels.
After several different Gurkha lines, I have completely written them off.
:-)
Only Rocky Patel that I thought was decent was the Olde World Reserve.
I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.....

It's all good. Smoke what you like, one man's trash is another's treasure. I can think of several brands that I don't care for, which others may love, but that's what's so great about this hobby/passion.

I wanted to like Gurkha, and picked up an assortment of 5ers off of CI. The Nepalese Warrior was the best, when they weren't plugged. A handful of others had the same issue too. Smoked them out of the humidors after that. The bands are a pain to take off as well.
I like RPs, especially the Cuban Blend maduros. Wish the prices were nicer, but that's the hobby for you.

This might shock you but I agree with you for the most part. I have only smoked one Gurkha that I enjoyed and that was a maduro Ancient Warrior perfecto. I enjoy many Patel smokes. If you want to start this crap about people blending too many smokes, add Pepin into the list. At this point I am ready to be banned since Pepin is the new god who took the place occupied by Rocky for a couple of years. The key point is that these folks make a whole bunch of blends. Try them and smoke the ones that you like. I took the easy way out and moved to Oliva and smoke their stuff for the most part.

I'll never have a plugged gurkha again either.

If they were cheaper, I'd say that the percentage that I had that were plugged VS the ones which weren't wouldn't warrant me writing them off. But honestly, even at $3-5 a stick, it's still pretty spendy for something I'm not too impressed with. Then again I'm one of those who hears $10 stick and think "wtf, is it a cc?"
I keep a box of Estaban Carreras in my stash, and those tend to be plugged just as much. But I pick up a box for $20 at a time, so I can forgive. lol
