I finally smoked my first ever Opus this morning (thanks Smelvis) and it lived up to the hype. Started with a black coffee.
Pre-light it felt heavy for a short smoke, ver solid and seem well packed. Very nice aroma.
Just a little snip of the torpedo head and I was in business.

Nice flavor right from start and very smooth. Love the nasal hit on the exhale.
About an inch in an I am starting to notice some leather to go with just awesome toabacco flavor. Ash seems rock solid (and no I don't have an ash tray, my little stainless steel cup works fine
:-) ).

This ash just doesn't want to give. Starting to ge a little creaminess, almost a sweet taste on the draw.

Ash finally drops, more creaminess and I am feeling the nicotine now. Powerful but no overpowering if that makes a lick of sense. Nice buzz now, and damn this thing is a slow burner - almost 45 minutes in (and I am a fast smoker). Out of coffee, grabbing a rootbeer to finish things.

I smoked it until I could no longer hold it, the truth is in the nub.
