I love spicy pickles and my wife's grandpa makes my favorite. Finally got him to tell me how he makes it and I couldn't believe how easy it was.
-One Jar of large whole pickles (store bought or homemade but make sure they are good quality)
-1 red chili pepper
-1 jalapeno
-1 habanero
1. Pour pickle juice from pickle jar into separate bowl. You will use later.
2. Slice pickles into 1-inch-thick slices.
3. Dice up all three peppers including seeds (if you want it less spicy you can seed the peppers before dicing) and mix together in a bowl.
4. Put a layer of the sliced pickles back into the jar followed by a layer of the diced peppers. Repeat these steps until the pickle jar is full.
5. Pour pickle juice back into the pickle jar until full.
The flavor on these is awesome and yes, they are spicy but not TOO spicy. The longer they spend in the jar the spicier they get!
