I snagged a 5er of these from cbid for $21.
Humidor time: Just a couple of days.
Prelight: This figurado measures a hefty 7.1" x 58 at its thickest. The wrapper is smooth, with a nice oily sheen and minimal veins. Prelight draw is a little tight probably due to the narrow foot, and tastes of oak and spice.
Burn: The burn was a bit raggedy, probably due to a combination of the tapered foot and the fact that I was eager to try one so didn't give it adequate rest. Ash was nice and solid, a bit flaky. Draw was a bit tight a first, but quickly loosened up once I got past the foot. Burn time was about 90 minutes.
Flavor: Right from the start this cigar packed a hefty spice kick, with a nice oak flavor and a hint of sweetness that I couldn't put my finger on. The last third added a bit of coffee and a strong undertone of vanilla that was a nice contrast to the spice.
Summary: What can I say? This cigar kicked my ass. *Do not* smoke one of these bad boys on an empty stomach. Flavor was great, and I think a bit of rest will really improve the burn.
