I have some pipes I would like to refinish.
I just finished deoxidizing one of the stems and cleaning the pipe.
I ordered a solid bar of carnauba wax, not realizing you almost have to have a buffer to use it, as it's hard as a rock.
Is there a way to use this solid bar to shine the pipe and stem without a buffer???
I saw one guy make a mixture using melted carnauba wax and some olive oil where it was slightly softer and able to be applied without a buffer.
Can anyone help me out?
I really don't want to have to drop the money in a buffer right now if I can avoid it.
(But, on another note if anyone has a used bench buffer they aren't using and are willing to sell, PM me, I can always put a trade together also if that's what you're looking for)

Before I added a buffing wheel to my bench grinder I was using a Black and Decker auto polisher. Had a rotary head, different pads for different polishes and the speed was perfect.Held it between my knees and used the 6 inch diameter pad to its utmost.
