No where close to Isaac, but here in Charleston it's been raining like mad since 8 a.m. Our parking lot is a giant lake and it's still coming down. I'm expecting to see a cow on a roof top before long. I'd dare to say we've had 4 inches of rain so far since midnight and it's still rolling in off the ocean. Prayers go out to all those about to be impacted. I wish the drought stricken areas were getting this rain as we've had plenty over the past few weeks. I've lived in my home for 9 years and have never seen a mushroom in my yard and now there's a field of them, all varieties. I'm glad I brought my lunch to work today.

We have been having that for what seems like a month here. I now have lake front property in my back yard. And I don't even live in a low area!

Against the pine straw is a 2 foot deep ditch and the water is about 8 inches deep coming up to the building foundation. Still pouring with some thunder. The pictures look bright, but the street lights are on and it looks like it's nearly dusk.

It's rained nearly 3 inches at my house and more downtown. I know it's nothing like Louisiana is getting, but man we seem so far removed from the action to get such an impact. Be careful out there!

Look at it this way Steve, You can fish out your back door. On a serious note, be careful brother.

I wish that rain would head here. My grass is still toast from the lack if rain this summer.. Stay safe for everyone that's affected by the hurricane.

I hope we get some rain from the storm. Has it made landfall yet?

Man, somewhere in the annals of history, Southern Louisiana/New Orleans must have really pissed off Mother Nature. That thing has just been sitting there all night.

It's raining and blowing here at my house. The wind is not really a concern just the extended period of rain. It seems that storm has come to Louisiana to party and, like a mother-in-law, doesn't want to leave.
