Well this story stared on 10/24/2005, I was deer hunting killed a nice heavy horned 4x4 mule deer. I had won a shoulder mount in a drawing in late 2004, this is why I had waited and was trying to find just the right buck! As I was loading the 4 wheeler and deer my arms began to ache as everything went that morning my chest felt like a 1ton pickup was sitting on it. Yep you guessed it at the age of 32 I was having a heart attack! 2 stents placed I was determined not to do this again.... I was 485#'s, over the next few years I dropped 200# type 2 diabetes gone all blood work doing good. Now skipping to modern day I had put on a few pounds back up to 310 but not feeling terrible just a lazy 41 year old.

Last Wednesday night I wake up at 2am with some of the worst heart burn I have ever had nothing I take gets rid of it. Knowing I have night shifts Thursday night I just go ahead and stay up for awhile. I woke back up on the couch around noon still not right. I went into the next room and tell my wife this is not right and I need to go see a doctor. We call a few and they are all booked nothing available so I tell her take me to the ER this is 1pm it's a 30 minute ride to the hospital we get there and rushed right in. I am thinking heart burn right??? Well they pull blood do all of the fancy stuff to me but yet my BP is un-real high 212/150? my nurse decides to give me a nitro pill under the tongue. That's when hell hit BP goes to 45/20 crash is an understatement. I tried to talk and say some thing is wrong but all I can do is grown the nurse came back in and give me another shot in my IV to counteract the nitro! Then about 10 minutes later the ER doctor comes in and tells me I am having or have had a heart attack??? 10 minutes later two ladies walk in and tell me they are my flight nurses??? What (in a freaked out voice) they tell me they are taking me to Salt lake UT. at 5:45 pm I am in an ICU room in Intermoutain healthcare! Troponin is the chemical released from the heart that normal level is .05 the doctor comes in after my first set of labs and tells me I have a level of 1.5 he has my full attention then he tells me that with levels this high is a good thing. Good thing my ass I think then he tells me that if I had, had a full on heart attack the numbers would be up in the 20-30 range. I ask Ok so what does this all mean? He tells me early detection of plugging of an artery. The next day at 11am I am on a table getting prepped for angioplasty. Well about 30 minutes later I wake up and they tell me no moving for 2 hours they had placed one new stent in the same artery that I had the others placed in and was build up deposits beyond one of my first stents!
Now here is the good news my doctor enjoys cigars also he told me as long as I smoke them the way they are intended (not inhaling and in moderation) I can still enjoy!
I am on a few medications again but I know with diet and exercise I can get rid of them so here my fat lazy butt goes again!

Can't ask for a better present than kids like that. Sounds like a great bond. Kids are precious. :-)
