I'm an engineer, work where we develop commercial water heaters, mostly gas-fired. I could pass the word to our techs, if you want. Also, there's a certification program for HVAC techs. http://www.natex.org/site/1/Home May be another source.

I have a brother in law that's HVAC. I passed that on to him but haven't heard back as yet. He's in Florida, so is pretty busy. :-)
