All Cigar Discussion>601 label question
Big Maduro 09:09 PM 01-10-2012
I recieved a 601 in a trade. I have read that these are fabulous cigars. I have a question about the label. I could ask the nice person who sent me this stick, but i thought it might be a good discussion for newer smokers like me. The stick is a 601, the label is blue/gold and red. It says reserva limitada on it. I have looked on the net for these and have found different other labels. One just has 601 Maduro on it. I've seen one pic with the same colors as mine,,but without the Reserva Limitada. All the sites describe these as the same Peppin recipe.

What he said. Google shows me that that may be the original 601 label or the new band. The one that does not say RL would be the middle band saying 601 and Classic. my :-)

Is this a maduro? Or Habano?

That is the maduro.
The one that is all red and gold is the Habano. Green is Oscuro. White is Natural/connecticut as is the black i think. Not sure of the diff between the black and white. I think the white lable may have replaced the black.

I believe that to be an original band Justin. The original is the best IMHO, the second one looked like a cheap knockoff stick and the newest is close to the original without any red, but no cigar.

It is the original. It's got about a year and a half of age in my humidor. So tasty. Enjoy!

I'm sad they did away with the black label. It was definitely my favorite in the line, but I also like the green. I'm really glad they didn't end up going with the second style band, it looked cheap and completely cheesy.

The black was a medium-full blend, the white is a mild.

Glad we cleared this up! I was actually wondering the same thing myself actually. Definately do love the 601 Blue!
