Island (The other ones) Reviews>Luis Martinez silver selection robusto

I have no idea where I got this 4¾x50 Luis Martinez silver selection Hamilton robusto, but a look on the website learned me that the filler is a mix of central American tobacco with a Honduran Cuban seed binder and an Ecuadorian sun grown wrapper and that they are dirt cheap on the webshop, about a dollar and a half.

The wrapper is nice and dark, a bit rough. The construction has some soft spots and the band is a bit camp. The cigar has a reasonably strong and sour straw and barnyard smell. The predraw is good and I taste a herbal tobacco.

I taste a bit musty and sweet earthy flavor. The sugar like sweetness is overpowering. The earthy flavor disappears after a quarter of an inch, all I taste is sugar with something musty on the background.

The sweetness stays dominant at a third, but I also taste some wood. The flavors are getting warm, not in temperature but in feeling. Halfway I taste the sweetness with some herbs and near the end even some sweetness and pepper. The flavors are dry.

This cigar lasted me for fifty-five minutes. I got a lot of thick smoke. The draw is good and the gray ash is quite firm. The burn is good. The cigar is medium bodied yet full flavored.

Would I buy this cigar again? Didn't like it, so no.
