Hey guys. I just got back from my first tour with a rock band. I was picked up by the band HighMay who needed a fill in bassist for an 8 day Southeast US tour. We played shows in Thomas, WV - Wilson, NC - Durhman, NC - Charlotte, NC - and Fredericksburg, VA.
It was a blast! New city every day, interesting venues, fun locals, and great music. I can see now why musicians tour all the time, it is a great way to see the country. (although I could go without having to sleep in a van ever again!)
Here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure.

They have a bassist that they use for local shows but they always have to hire someone for the road. They all seemed to like me and my playing so I think that I just snagged a spot as their permanent tour bassist.

what's the style of music? americana?
It is actually an alternative rock band. They have drums and bass. The singer plays acoustic/electric guitar and then there is another guy who plays keyboard, fiddle, or mandolin.
