Interesting week of weather 'round these parts.
I'm sure you've all seen this on the national news, but here are some shots from inside and outside my office.

From a perspective of national news coverage, my office is directly in-between the neighborhood that they kept showing (that was leveled) and Lambert St. Louis Airport (also heavily damaged).
26 of our 35 air conditioners were removed from the roof. Most weigh in excess of 5,000 lbs. each.
There is an aerial shot of the roof that is directly above the worst of the interior damage.
The vehicles outside are Lambert's long term parking. Total devastation. I sat and watched several vacation goers return to their vehicles this morning. The reactions were amazing.

Luckily my home was spared any major damage. Not the case for everyone. Estimates have nearly 750-1000 homes destroyed or uninhabitable. I think they said the path was right at 25-30 miles long and 1/2 mile wide in spots. Intensity was from EF0 to EF4. It was estimated to be EF3 when it hit our office.

5,000lbs? Thats nuts man! Glad you are ok, and so little damage was done in the end compared to what could have been. Living near a river valley can bring lush green summers but you have to get through the hellish spring weather to get there!

I left Lambert about 45 mins before the Tornado hit it. C Terminal too. Had a week in Mt Vernon.

Glad you're okay, Tim, but more importantly, is the buck-toothed dog safe?
:-)

The dog brought an end to the destruction... he gnawed the Tornado into submission with his super bucked teefeses.
