I put Pepin/MF on my 'do not buy' list quite a while ago. But I needed a few dollars on an order to get free shipping, so I decided to give them another chance, and threw a couple singles in.
First things first. Piss poor construction. Sloppily applied cap, misshapen head, lumpy, squishy foot. Ugly wrapper as well with lots of blemishes. Without the band, I would assume this was a Quorum or some $1.50 short filler cigar from Thompson. No joke.
First few draws...pretty straightforward tobacco flavor, a bit of baking spice through the nose.
About 1" in...similar flavors. Solid medium 'strength'. Good burn so far.
About halfway...a woodsy flavor has joined the baking spice. One minor burn correction. Nice smoke so far.
A little past halfway...similar flavors, with a tangy flavor on the finish.
Toward the end...flavors are the same, but the 'strength' has kicked up a notch. Decent burn overall with only a couple of minor corrections. I let the cigar die at about 1.5".
Final thoughts..a solid smoke. And for as poorly as it was constructed, it burned and drew pretty well. It's not a cigar I would buy a box of, but it was decent.

Too many bad experiences. Some bad construction, but mostly with underfermented tobacco. The last straw was a box of Tatuaje that still tasted like ammonia after 5 years in the humidor.
