Never a big fan, but still a shame he's gone so young.
Rest in peace.

From E! News via BBC:
His publicist told the publication that Michael "passed away peacefully at home."
The statement continued, "It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peaceful at home over the Christmas period. The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage."
Looks like details may be delayed a while.

I can't completely say I'm surprised...but it's still a shame.
RIP George, and thanks for all the great music.

Wasn't a huge fan, but I did like "Freedom 90", and he was too young R.I.P.

Read a very sad story, when his partner had HIV he went back home to Brazil for treatment even though the drug combinations to keep it under control, that were available in most other countries, were not readily available in Brazil, the reason he went to Brazil was because he didn't want someone finding out he was George Michael's partner and he thought it would be a secret easier kept in South America. From what close friends have said Michael never got over his death and blamed himself and his fame for the death of the person he loved, that's when all the drug addictions and destructive behavior that was the end began. Between that and his mother's death from cancer there wasn't much happiness in his life.
