So I have been looking into pipe tobacco right now. I'm feeling very interested in trying some English blends. Specifically this blend called "Presbyterian". I have been purusing a website called.

I have noticed that almost all the ones I look at the taste is usually "mild..to extremely mild" ...what tobacco would be listed as "strong" ? any brand names?

Do you mean strong as in Flavor or strong as in Nicotine content?
BTW, thats a great website to use!

You should try some stronger english mixtures. Westminster. Northwoods, Penzance, or Margate would be a good place to start, IMHO

Pick up a tin of Westminser. Virginia's and Latakia. A great blend but the flavors aren't that complex. Would be a good blend to get a taste of latakia.
Also with reading reviews, opinions are very subjective. Many pipe smokers who have been in the game for a long period of time, might perceive a medium blend as something light. I know I am guilty of this at times.
Check out the newbie sampler trade thread,
http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=9168, for the price of 1 tin you can get yourself a good variety of tobaccos to try out. Or maybe post a WTT thread offering a tin of a person's choice for a selection of english / balkan blends. I did this in the past with exclusively aromatics.
