I got interested in this line (especially this particular cigar) as they are rolled in the La Aurora factory in DR, and with the wrapper/binder/filler combo listed above in this size, I immediately thought of the La Aurora Preferido Robusto (LAPR), a cigar I really enjoy. OK, easy to cut (double capped), pre-light draw was perfect, toasted and lit her up. I was somewhat surprised that this was a cameroon wrapper, there was very little spiciness in this cigar from start to finish. The LAPR similarly has a muted cameroon spiciness compared to other cammies, but it still comes through unlike this cigar. The cigar has a good nutty/woody flavor and there is a solid leather finish to the smoke. The smoke itself was nice and creamy and extremly smooth. Burn was straight and even from start to well below the band. Overall I would put this smoke into the medium range. All in all, I think this cigar is similar to the LAPR, a little less spicy and more leathery. It is good smoke. I look forward to trying the other cigars from the line, which are all blended differently.
